Adam Armstrong joined Blackburn Rovers on loan from Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United-owned Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the win against Peterborough United at home on Thursday evening.
Armstrong, who joined Blackburn on loan from Premier League club Newcastle in the January transfer window, featured in the League One match against Peterborough at Ewood Park.
The 21-year-old striker started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the home team won 3-1.
The former England Under-20 international has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, and Blackburn fans have responded to his message on the social networking site, urging him to remain at Rovers beyond the summer transfer window.


Armstrong has been playing well for Blackburn since his loan switch from Newcastle in the January transfer window.
The youngster has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 17 League One appearances for Rovers, according to Transfermarkt.com.
It will be interesting to see what happens regarding Armstrong’s future, and whether or not he carries on playing for Blackburn next season.
