Sergio Aguero has been linked with an unlikely move to the Emirates.
Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero
Reports from Spanish outlet Don Balon claims prolific forward Sergio Aguero is a target for Manchester City’s Premier League rivals Arsenal.
As well as the Gunners, the report states that Tottenham and Chelsea, as well as Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris-Saint German are all monitoring the Argentine international’s current situation.
After being dropped by manager Pep Guardiola against Barcelona earlier in the month question were posed regarding the 28-year-old’s future at the Etihad, and rumours have only intensified with Aguero again left on the bench for Tuesday nights game as City were knocked out of the EFL cup by arch-rivals Manchester United.
Why the interest?

Sergio Aguero is regarded as a world class striker and is arguably Manchester City’s greatest ever player. Aguero has 11 goals in 12 outings for City this season. He has found the net 147 times in 220 games in total and helped the club to their first Premier League title.
Would he be interested in a move?
It is unlikely considering that Arsenal pose a massive threat to Manchester City’s hopes of clinching an other Premier League title, but if Aguero is now settled playing and living in England than there is reason to believe that he may favour remaining in England to moving abroad. Though, an offer from long-term suitors, Real Madrid may be too enticing to rebuff.
What did Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently say?

Pep Guardiola has publicly insisted he will not force him out and that it will the decision of Aguero himself if or when he decides to leave.
“When Sergio decides to leave Manchester City, it will be his decision,” Guardiola said.
“I appreciate him as a football player and appreciate as a man what he did here.”
Do Arsenal have the money?

Arsenal’s Chief executive says that the Gunners now have the financial resources to compete with big spending rivals when it comes to transfer fees and wage packets.
Speaking at Arsenal’s AGM on Monday, Gazidis said: “We are now beginning to compete in terms of wages with some of those clubs around us.
“There is continual growth in investment in wages but also in transfer fees.”
