Arsenal play-maker Santi Cazorla has been linked with a move to Serie A, according to a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato.

They claim Arsenal Wenger may lose the services of the 31-year-old, with the Spaniard’s contract due to expire at the end of the current season.

And it is claimed that Italian champions Juventus may try to tempt the Spanish international away from North London.

Carzola is currently recovering from an Achilles injury that saw him miss Arsenal’s 0-0 stalemate at home against relegation battlers Middlesborough.

Ironically, his absence was very apparent and although he is one of the Gunners’ smallest players, he makes a big difference and Arsenal failed to control the game and make opportunities without Cazorla dictating the play.

Any overtures would be a great loss to the Gunners with the diminutive midfielder often touted as the side’s creative fulcrum.

Cazorla told the International Business Times that he will not focus on his future until the end of the season.

“In my case I will finish my contract at the end of the season but I’m not thinking about it now. I’m just focusing on playing and giving my best on the pitch,” said Cazorla

“Last season was very difficult for me after spending so much time on the sidelines [due to a knee injury]. Now I just want to enjoy myself again – and we’ll see what happens in the future.”

When asked if he wishes to stay at Arsenal beyond next summer, he added: “I’m happy because I’m playing regularly. If I didn’t play I would tell you that I would consider leaving, but I’m having minutes and I have the confidence of the manager. That’s what every player wants.

“Since the very first day at this club I have had the affection of the fans, and that is amazing. I have only words of gratitude to the fans of Arsenal for how they’ve treated me from day one, and I try to repay them by giving my best on the pitch.”
