The Gunners are allegedly plotting to make a move for Manchester City’s want-away ace

According to reports from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Ivorian has been tracked by Premier League title challengers Arsenal.

That said, the reports adds that Arsenal may have to fight for the City player’s signature with a host of teams from Europe and beyond interested in his signature.

It claims that Inter Milan, Juventus and many Chinese clubs are all considering making a move for the out of favour Toure, who has seen playing time hard to come by this season.

The 34-year-old’s contract is up at the end of the season and it now looks likely that he no longer has a future at the Blues after a frustrating start to the term.

Since Pep Guardiola’s arrival at Manchester City Toure has only featured on one occasion, against Steaua Bucharest in a Champions League play-off fixture way back in August, but he has not played since.

The report also states that Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk claims that his client is keen to stay and fight for his place in the Spaniard’s team.

With City well aware of the talent and ability of the former Barcelona man it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to allow a player of Toure’s stature to leave for a Premier League rival.

So a move to Juventus, Inter or China may be seen as the most favourable option for both parties.
