Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Premier League rejected the club’s appeal against Pascal Struijk’s red card against Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, the Leeds fans on Twitter have decided to make a point about Tottenham’s Heung-min Son after the Premier League’s verdict.
In November 2019, Son lunged in on Everton’s Andre Gomes, breaking the midfielder’s ankle in doing so.
After the incident, a clearly emotional Son was sent off in the 79th minute, only to have his red card rescinded.
Watching the footage back, the £22m South Korean does make contact, and is nowhere near the ball, so we’re not quite sure why it was overturned.
In Struijk’s case, the Dutchman actually wins the ball, but for some reason, the Premier League have decided not to overturn his red card.
You can understand why the Leeds fans are annoyed.
What games will Pascal Struijk miss for Leeds?

After the Premier League held firm on their decision, Struijk will now face a three-game ban.
Even Harvey Elliott himself has taken to Instagram to say that he doesn’t think it was a red card!
Nevertheless, Marcelo Bielsa is now missing a man. Struijk will be forced to sit out clashes with Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham.

The 22-year-old will only miss two Premier League games, with the game against Fulham coming in the Carabao Cup.
He will be a big loss for Leeds, as he was enjoying a decent campaign after an impressive pre-season.
For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about Son and Gomes after the Premier League’s decision…
