Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli could be on the move in 2021, having failed to convince Jose Mourinho so far this season.

Alli has made just two Premier League appearances this term, of which only one was a start, and he wasn’t even in the squad to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

Spurs will surely consider offers for Alli come January, and one bizarre rumour is emerging about his future over in Italy.

Calciomercato report that Alli could be a target for Inter Milan, with a suggestion that there could be a swap deal in the works involving none other than Christian Eriksen.

It’s noted that Alli has the physicality that Antonio Conte is looking for, and Eriksen may be dangled as a bargaining chip with Tottenham.

Spurs sold Eriksen to Inter in January 2020, but the Dane has struggled to hit top form at the San Siro, and a return to North London may just appeal.

His international teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is now at Tottenham, but it just seems so unlikely that a return to Spurs will happen any time soon.

Eriksen’s form dipped massively towards the end of his time at the club, and he had made noises that he felt his time at the club had come to an end after the Champions League final.

Heading back to Spurs just a year after leaving wouldn’t make much sense for Eriksen, and with another playmaker now established at the club in Giovani Lo Celso, Spurs are better off developing him rather than bringing back Eriksen, who turns 29 in February.
