During a pre-Eurovision Song Contest results show in Sweden, essentially a qualifying round – Mesut Ozil found himself an unwitting star.
Torsten Amarell, a German judge presenting his results to the presenters, elected to do so tongue-in-cheek, reading his results from a piece of paper which to the camera showed a topless Mesut Ozil.
The photo looks at least a few years old judging from his haircut, and the incident making the pages of German national newspaper BILD.
Certainly the strangest report on Ozil this weekend – on one in which he created all the headlines for the right reasons with his goal and assist against Everton.
