Arsenal fans have more than likely forgotten all about Takuma Asano.
The 26-year-old attacker joined the Gunners in the summer of 2016 but left three years later having never played a senior game.
Asano joined Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and became the third Japanese player to sign for the club under the legendary Frenchman.
But failure to secure a work permit meant that he never actually played for the North Londoners and is therefore one of the most obscure and yet puzzling signings of the Wenger era.
Following a couple of loan spells away from Arsenal in Germany, Asano joined Partizan two years ago and has been rebuilding his career ever since.
And earlier this week, the former J-League star was on the scoresheet in a 14-0 win.
Asano scored the last goal in injury time as Japan absolutely dismantled Mongolia in a World Cup qualifier, with Liverpool-owned Takumi Minamino getting the rout underway.
Asano, who can play on both wings, has a staggering 16 goals and eight assists in 27 league games for Partizan so far this season.
