Bukayo Saka has been speaking to BBC Sport after Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League earlier today.
The England international took a few heavy hits from the Villans, and confirmed after full-time that some of the challenges have drawn blood.
What’s the story?
Well, Steven Gerrard’s men clearly caused Saka some pain at Villa Park.
Speaking to BBC Sport, the 20-year-old said: “My ankle is a bit bloody, but I’ll be going again in the next game. It’s part of my game, so I’ll be doing it again next time.”
Hopefully, the Arsenal No.7 isn’t in too much pain, and will be able to team up with Gareth Southgate at the England camp next week.
Saka deserves plenty of credit for his performance today, as it would’ve been easy to fizzle out of the game as a result of the strong challenges.
Before Mikel Arteta withdrew him in the 68th minute, the Hale End Academy graduate had three shots, made two key passes and won three freekicks for his side (WhoScored).
Arsenal must ensure Bukayo Saka is protected

In our view, the Gunners need to have a work with Mike Riley and the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL).
Saka could’ve been seriously injured as a result of the challenges at Villa Park earlier today.
The youngster even spoke to Andrew Madley after full-time to voice his frustration at the treatment he receives.

If more isn’t done to stop opponents kicking Saka, then his body will pay for the ineptitude from officials.
For a player with potential to one day win the Ballon d’Or, it would be a great shame if his career is ruined by injuries.
