The youngster had previously been suspended by Birmingham boss Gary Rowett.

Reece Brown has discussed the moment that has been motivating him to turn his Birmingham City career around following his suspension last season, the Birmingham Mail reports.
The Mail claims that the 20-year-old was reprimanded by the Midlands club due to a lack of professionalism.

But while that may have appeared to signal the beginning of the end for his Blues career, Brown has seemingly managed to change his attitude and is now a part of Gary Rowett’s plans this term.
And he explained the moment that inspired him to make the changes.

“It’s great to play for Birmingham City again, I have been here for ten years so it’s nice to finally be getting something at the end of it,” he said, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
“A few things helped the penny drop. A lot of people spoke to me and tried to help me.
“Especially speaking to my dad and seeing his disappointment of me getting suspended – that really hits you.”

Having been handed his first-team debut at St Andrew’s at just 17, and subsequently enhancing his reputation with further appearances during Lee Clark’s tenure, it would perhaps be hardly surprising if frustration may have got the better of him when Rowett did not begin to hand him more opportunities, especially as he was attracting Premier League attention at the time (via Birmingham Mail).
But with a handful of appearances now under his belt already this season, it appears that he could well still realise his potential with the Blues.
