Birmingham City have reportedly offered a trial to Jordan Spence.

The Blues have offered a trial to ex-West Ham United and England under-21 defender Jordan Spence, in a bid to ease their defensive crisis, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Spence, who can play at right-back or centre-back, began his career with the Hammers, and endured seven separate loan spells away from the club, before making the permanent switch to MK Dons in 2014.
The 26-year-old was released by the League One outfit in May of this year, however, and has been training with Rotherham United in recent weeks.
The report from the Birmingham Mail claims that the the Blues are attempting to gain clearance so that Spence can feature for their developmental side against Sheffield United tonight.

Spence is extremely quick along the ground, and has fantastic aerial ability, so would seem to be a useful addition to Gary Rowett’s squad, especially with first-choice right-back Jonathan Spector set to miss the next three games through suspension.
Next up for the Blues is a trip to Brentford on Saturday, where a win could take them as high as third in the Championship table.
