Birmingham City are planning to hand Che Adams a new deal to fend off the growing interest in the exciting attacker, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
A host of Premier League and Championship clubs are showing a keen interest in Adams after his impressive debut season for Birmingham last term.
Adams, 20, was playing in non-league with Ilkeston before Sheffield United swooped to sign him in November 2014, and his record of 15 goals in 55 games for the Blades saw him earn a move to Birmingham last summer.

The skilful attacking midfielder made 42 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham and chipped in with seven goals to help the club avoid relegation from the Championship.
An unnamed Championship club are understood to have had a £5million bid rejected by Birmingham for Adams already this summer and Birmingham are adamant they have no intention of selling their prize asset.
Blues boss Harry Redknapp is a big admirer of Adams and sees him as playing a key role at St Andrew’s next season as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League.
Birmingham have now begun negotiations with Adams to try and secure him on a new long-term deal to end the speculation that he could be on the move this summer.
