Birmingham City followed up their superb 1-0 win over Leeds United last weekend with a 1-1 midweek draw against Sheffield United, another Championship side seeking automatic promotion.

The Blues, who are fighting to steer clear of the relegation zone following their recent points deduction, went behind in the 38th minute at St Andrew’s after Blades left-back Enda Stevens scored his first goal in more than a year.

However, the hosts levelled just four minutes later through Michael Morrison’s close-range strike, and the second half brought no further goals in a significant result at both ends of the table.

Birmingham now sit 17th in the table, six points clear of the Championship’s bottom three with five games left, and although there is still much work to be done, the outlook is much more promising now given their torrid run prior to the win over Leeds.

During the game, defender Harlee Dean had a go at goal but failed to connect properly with Connor Mahoney’s cross and the outcome was an effort ballooned way over the bar.

He took to Twitter a few hours after the game to poke fun at his skied effort, as well as giving his take on the performance and result:

Here is how some Blues fans responded to him on the social media platform:
