Birmingham City are lining up a move for winger Luke Dunn from Championship rivals Brentford, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Dunn has come through the ranks at Brentford and he is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Griffin Park.
The skilful winger, who can play wide on the left or right, has yet to be offered a professional contract at Brentford after signing scholarship forms last year.
Brentford have a proven track record in developing young players and Dunn is tipped to become a future star.
The 17-year-old has been a regular in the Brentford Under-23s this season and he has caught the eye for the Bees with a number of impressive displays.

The likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion have been credited with an interest in Dunn, but midlands rivals Birmingham are now hoping to beat them to his signature.
Dunn is currently training with Birmingham’s Under-23s with a view to a possible move to St Andrew’s and with the player yet to sign a professional contract at Brentford he could join Birmingham for minimal compensation.
