The takeover of Birmingham City Football Club by Trillion Trophy Asia has been completed.
General view of St Andrews stadium
For months we have been seeing club after club from the Midlands get taken over by fancy new owners, and it seemed as if Birmingham City were the odd ones out. Luckily for Blues fans that has changed today with the news that Trillion Trophy Asia Limited are the new owners at St Andrew’s.
As reported by the club’s official website, the takeover was confirmed after the club’s parent company Birmingham International Holdings Limited resumed trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Despite TTA providing investment for things such as new players since June 2015, it has taken until now for them to actually claim ownership of Birmingham City in it’s entirety.
On social media the club have been promoting the hashtag “#Forward” to symbolize the positive vibes around St Andrew’s today as they look to move into a new era that will hopefully bring them great success.
Manager Gary Rowett will continue on in his position as he works hand in hand with the new owners in attempting to lead Birmingham back to the promised land of the Premier League.
How this affects the players and supporters moving forward remains to be seen, but for now the future looks bright.
