Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 15th June, that he held transfer talks with a target last night in London.

Redknapp is keen to add quality to Birmingham’s squad this summer, and has already been active in the transfer market.

The Blues have snapped up David Stockdale on a free transfer, and more new arrivals at St. Andrews are expected in the coming weeks.

Indeed, Redknapp has confirmed that he was in the capital yesterday, working on a deal for a potential addition.

“It’s non-stop. I’ve not been away, as I’ve been so busy,” Redknapp explained. “Just last night I was in London, and met with a player’s agent about a lad we’re trying to sign.”

Birmingham struggled to avoid the drop last term, with Redknapp having to guide the Midlands side to safety.

Redknapp only took charge of the Blues for three matches, but he sparked a big improvement and there are hopes they will progress under the 70-year-old boss’s guidance.

Redknapp has set his sights on some ambitious targets, and confirmed on TalkSPORT that he has made an offer for John Terry.

The Chelsea legend is a free agent, and Redknapp is still hopeful of bringing the veteran defender to St. Andrews.
