Jutkiewicz has impressed at St Andrews since joining Birmingham, establishing himself as a regular in Gary Rowett’s side and scoring five goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.

Rowett has previously admitted he was keen to keep Jutkiewicz on a permanent basis and the club have moved quickly to tie up a deal for the 27-year-old.

A number of other Championship clubs have been monitoring Jutkiewicz’s situation ahead of the January transfer window, but Birmingham were always in pole positon for his signature.

Jutkiewicz is keen to extend his stay at St Andrews after rediscovering his goal touch with the Championship club and the player is expected to sign a long-term deal with the Blues.

Burnley are happy to sell Jutkiewicz as he is well down the pecking order in Sean Dyche’s plans at Turf Moor and they would prefer to cash-in on him now rather than see him run down his contract and leave for free next summer.
