Aston Villa midfielder Birkir Bjarnason has been linked with moves away in the January transfer window.

Bjarnason has revealed that he was thinking of leaving Villa in the January transfer window, but the the 29-year-old has stated that he has now changed his mind and plans to stay at Villa Park.
“Only two to three weeks ago, I was certain that I would leave the club,” The Express quotes Bjarnason as saying.
“I really wanted to leave, but now I have completely changed my mind. I am not going anywhere!”

Bjarnason has been on the books of Villa since January 2017 when he joined from FC Basel for a transfer fee reported by The Birmingham Mail to be worth £2.5 million.
The 29-year-old Iceland international has been linked with moves away from Villa Park in the January transfer window.

Serie A club SPAL are interested in signing the former Pescara and Sampdoria man, according to Tuttomercatoweb (click here to read more).
However, former Pescara midfielder’s comments suggest that he will remain at Villa and play his role in the Villans’ quest to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.
