Glasgow Rangers star Jason Cummings, on loan from Nottingham Forest, should take inspiration from Celtic ace Leigh Griffiths, suggests former Ibrox striker Billy Dodds.

The former Rangers striker, who was on the books of the Gers from 1999 to 2003 and won the league title in 2000 with the Ibrox club, believes that Cummings, currently on loan at Graeme Murty’s side from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England, should take inspiration from Griffiths.

Dodds told The Daily Record: “Griffiths is a great example to him. Both are ex-Hibs players, both went to England and it didn’t work out and both are now at big clubs in Scotland.
“Griffiths had knock after knock. From Ronny Deila’s days leaving him out of the Celtic team to Rodgers doing the same. He learned how to be more of a team player and it made him so much better.”

Similarities
Griffiths is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and has been on the books of Celtic since 2014.
The 27-year-old Scotland international striker struggled to make an impact at Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, but he has taken his game to another level at Celtic, although there have been occasions when he has struggled to play regularly for the Hoops.
Cummings moved to Forest from Hibernian in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £1 million, but the 22-year-old striker failed to make an impact at the City Ground and joined Rangers on loan in the January transfer window.
