Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick’s performance against Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic impressed former Ibrox striker Billy Dodds.

The former Rangers striker, who was on the books of the Ibrox club from 1999 until 2003, was impressed with the number of saves that Alnwick made against Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership game on Sunday afternoon.

Former Newcastle goalkeeper Alnwick started the match, and his performance impressed ex-Rangers striker Dodds.

Dodds told BBC Sport: “Jak Alnwick has single handedly saved Rangers from getting probably eight goals scored against them today. Some fantastic saves there. It could have easily been six goals for Celtic.”
