Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers gets criticism from Billy Dodds.

Dodds, who was on the books of Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers from 1999 until 2003 and is a former County coach, is not happy with Celtic boss Rodgers’ recent comments about Davies.
As quoted by BBC Sport, the former Liverpool and Swansea City manager severely criticised the 33-year-old defender for his challenge on Celtic midfielder Scott Brown during the Scottish Premiership game between the two sides at Celtic Park this past Saturday.
Former Rangers and Scotland international striker Dodds has criticised Rodgers, although he has admitted that the challenge was bad.

Dodds told The Scottish Sun: “It was a moment of madness from Davies and it was a terrible challenge, and the big man will know that.”
“You would struggle to find a player who is more honest than Davies is,” added Dodds. “But some of the stuff from Brendan Rodgers after the game was uncalled for.
“He mentioned how Jozo Simunovic got a two-game ban for his elbow in the Rangers game, and suggested Davies’ punishment should be worse.
“For me, he was trying to influence the disciplinary department with his comments, and that didn’t sit well with me.”

Tough for Celtic
The challenge from Davies on Brown was bad, and that underlines just how tough it can be for Celtic to win matches in Scotland.
True, the Hoops are set to win the Scottish Premiership title yet again this season, but such challengers underline that rival players do make it tough for the Bhoys and do not give them an easy ride.
