Since Neil Lennon’s return to Celtic, Odsonne Edouard has scored a number of crucial goals for his club.

BBC Sport pundit Billy Dodds has claimed that the inconsistent Odsonne Edouard will go on and play at a ‘higher level’ than Celtic.
Dodds feels that at times the 21-year-old attacker ‘doesn’t turn it on’ then out of nowhere he can produce a brilliant display as he made reference to the most recent Old Firm game.
Throughout this season, both under the now departed Brendan Rodgers and now Neil Lennon, Edouard has been utilised in a forward role, but he has also been deployed out wide at times.
Speaking to Sportsround (10/04/2019), Dodds shared his thoughts on Edouard and claimed that the fans must find him ‘incredibly frustrating’ given his inconsistencies.
“He’s been on the bench a few times and he’s a top player,” Dodds told Sportsround. “But that tells you sometimes, he loses a bit of consistency. Would I be fair in saying that because I think he is a really good player who can go and play at a much higher level.
“But he just sometimes, he doesn’t turn it on. Then bang! Along comes an Old Firm game, along comes a cup game, along comes a Champions League game and Edouard turns up. It’s incredible and must be frustrating for the Celtic fans because he is a top player that they can’t get that week in and week out of him. I think he will go and play at a higher level than Celtic, no disrespect.”

Celtic will now be preparing for a crucial week in their season because they take on Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend.
If the Hoops can triumph then they will be on course to secure the treble-treble because they already have the Scottish League Cup in the bag and it is a matter of time before they clinch the Scottish Premiership.
Edouard will be hoping to start for the Glasgow club and showcase his worth on the big stage because if Lennon can win the Scottish Cup it may well boost his chances of staying at the club beyond the summer.
Nonetheless, over the course of the season, Edouard has played 46 matches in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and supplying his teammates with eights assists [transfermarkt].
