Everton are set to add to their squad in the January transfer window.
Bill Kenwright has told the Everton’s official website that Farhad Moshiri wants to sign more players for the Goodison Park club than the supporters do.
Moshiri has become Everton’s majority shareholder, and he is determined to help the Merseyside club progress.
And chairman Kenwright has confirmed that Moshiri is prepared to back Ronald Koeman with funds in the January transfer window.
“This last year for me hasn’t been easy. But if I hadn’t had Farhad it would have been much more difficult,” Kenwright admitted. “He wants to sign more players than you want to sign! He is there for the players, the stadium – for Everton.”
Everton have already been linked with a whole host of players, since the transfer window has opened.
The Toffees are said to be interested in the likes of Manchester United’s Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin (The Sun) and Inter Milan’s Ever Banega (Daily Mirror).
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that the club are working on deals, as they look to add some fresh faces in the coming weeks.
Everton are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Leicester City in the FA Cup.
