Everton’s Kevin Mirallas is set to sign a new contract.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has told the club’s official Twitter account that winger Kevin Mirallas will sign a new long-term contract in the near future.
The Toffees may have only picked up one point in their last three games and failed to score in that run, but it has been a largely positive campaign for Ronald Koeman in his first season as Everton boss.
Koeman will want new signings this summer, but the club will also be looking to tie current players down to new contracts, with Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku two players that fans want to see sign new deals.
Everton have now confirmed that one player is set to commit his future to the club, with Kevin Mirallas set to pen a new contract according to chairman Bill Kenwright.

Mirallas, 29, joined Everton from Greek side Olympiakos back in 2012, and has now racked up more than 170 appearances for the club, notching 39 goals in all competitions.
This season, the Belgian international has been in and out of the side with 21 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League, recording four goals and six assists.

His new contract comes as something of a surprise given his inconsistent playing time under Koeman, but as seen below, his new contract is set to be confirmed imminently.
Fans took to Twitter to react, suggesting that it’s a strange move and a real shock as many thought Koeman would look to sell him this summer, with the general consensus that he hasn’t done enough to earn a long-term contract – but there were also a few fans who were happy to see Mirallas stay and contribute next season in what will be a big Everton squad.
