West Ham United won their first Premier League game since early February.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to reporters during his post-match press conference, highlighting the minimum points target that he has set his team for the remainder of the season, and explained how his celebrations after the game were directed at the players for the effort they put in during their 1-0 win over Swansea City, as quoted by the club’s official website.
West Ham now sit in 14th position, eight points clear of the Swans in 18th spot, and Bilic will be breathing a lot more easily now than they were this time last week.
And with only six games remaining in their campaign, they must surely be aiming to kick on and finish inside the top half of the table, with just one point separating themselves and 10th placed Watford.
Bilic spoke to reporters after yesterday’s game and shared the points target he gave his players after the game, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“It’s about the Club and the players. We are the ones to blame to be in this situation and my celebration was more towards the players than me. They deserved it. There’s no stopping now. We need as many points as we can get. It’s still a big job for us to do. We need 40 points as soon as possible, and I told the players that. That’s the minimum goal. It’s going to be hard of course, but if we concentrate like this, it’s very possible and we have a chance against any team.”
Next up on the agenda for the East London outfit is a trip to Wearside to take on Sunderland next Saturday, and a win against David Moyes’ struggling side would all but secure their Premier League status for another season.
