West Ham United will be looking to climb the table during the final third of the season.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to the media during his pre-match conference ahead of his side’s crucial trip to Watford tomorrow, and discussed the club’s recent mid-season training camp in Dubai, highlighting the one particular area of the game that they worked on, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Croatian has managed to turn his team’s season around over the past couple of months, and they head into the game at Vicarage Road high on confidence, after racking up six wins and a draw in their last 10 Premier League outings.
And Bilic spoke to reporters about his side’s renewed energy and vigour after their break in the Middle East, explaining how they focused on defensive work during the training camp in a bid to improve their poor record of goals conceded this term, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I think it was a great trip and we benefited from that. We didn’t play at the weekend and had a gap so it was good for all the players to be together and we all trained once a day. We used it to do a bit of fitness, bit of intensive small games, work on defence, it was all good.”

If the East London outfit are to climb inside the top seven or eight during the final third of the campaign, they will most definitely need to tighten up their leaky defence.
The 43 goals they have conceded is the highest tally out of all the teams inside the top 13 of the Premier League.
The acquisition of Jose Fonte in January should help matters, however, with the Portuguese’s presence already giving the West Ham side a far more solid look about them.
