The West Ham United manager will be desperate for all three points tomorrow.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s hugely important home game against Swansea City tomorrow, and responded to questions regarding potentially pairing Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll together, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Croatian finds himself under intense pressure following West Ham’s underwhelming start to their 2017/18 Premier League campaign, with their woeful return of four points from their opening six league games leaving them languishing in 18th position in the table.

“I see a lot of potential in that partnership. The key for us is like in one hand we want to get the stability and, if we are talking about conceding goals, then we have to be more stable and have a system with more players at the back. But then at the end of the day if you want to get your players who are offensively good on the pitch, it’s not easy to find a system which you can have both in. But that is the key and that is what we are looking for and if you’re asking me if I believe in that pair, of course. It’s not only them though, we have other good strikers like Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho. But do I see the potential in that? Yes I do.”

For Bilic to fit both the Englishman and the Mexican in his starting line-up, he will likely have to play with three at the back – a system he has used just three times in West Ham’s opening eight games.
With Saturday’s game holding so much importance though, it would be no surprise to see the Croatian opt for four at the back, which would likely mean that either Carroll or Hernandez will miss out.
