Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s huge Carabao Cup clash with bitter rivals Spurs at Wembley Stadium tomorrow night, and responded to a question asking him if rumours concerning West Ham players holding a meeting with each other were true, as quoted by the clubs official website.

The Hammers’ woes were confounded on Friday night, as they were humbled by Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium, and many fans and pundits alike are questioning Bilic’s ability to guide West Ham away from trouble.

And Bilic responded to a reporter who asked him if it was true that the players took it upon themselves to hold a meeting yesterday in an attempt to arrest their alarming slide, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“I know about the meeting the players had yesterday. I had a meeting with Mark Noble before that, a long meeting, then they had a meeting, which I think is very good. The situation is serious and we have to play better and get points.”
