Hammers boss Slaven Bilic addressed the media during his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s huge clash with Liverpool tomorrow, and highlighted a potential weakness in Jürgen Klopp’s team, as quoted by the club’s official website.

West Ham have endured a woeful start to their 2017/18 campaign, and currently sit in 16th position in the Premier League table, after a return of just nine points from their opening 10 league outings.

The only real ray of light was their tremendous 3-2 win over bitter rivals Tottenham in the 4th round of the Carabao Cup last week.

One particular low point for the east London outfit was their draw against rock-bottom Crystal Palace last weekend, after having led 2-0 at half-time.

As a result of that, the Hammers’ game against the Merseysiders tomorrow became all the more important, and Bilic highlighted a particular facet of the visitor’s game where his side could take advantage, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“They are not happy with their position, or the press is not happy with their position. They are a very good team who plays offensive football, which leaves them a little bit open at the back.”

Whilst West Ham will be looking to pick Liverpool off, they will have to be extremely organised at the back, if they want to avoid a repeat of last season’s 4-0 defeat when the Reds came to town.
