West Ham United’s 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough did little to appease the club’s frustrated fanbase.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has spoken to the club’s official website, and discussed the worrying spell that his side are currently in the midst of.
West Ham have taken just four points from their opening seven Premier League games and currently sit inside the relegation zone.
Bilic spoke of the need to lift the negative pressure from his player’s shoulders, telling whufc.com:
“This is different pressure than last season, when we were fighting for Europe. We are not enjoying this pressure and it’s hard to cope with it. You have to get out of this situation because this pressure stops you from expressing yourself in the best-possible way. This is a negative pressure and positive pressure is different. This is the one which is hard to cope with, but that’s why we have to get a few points and wins to come out of that pressure and get that burden off our back.”

Questions have been asked regarding the quality of the players brought in by Bilic over the summer, with the new faces failing to make a significant impact on the first team thus far.
The East London outfit now face a crucial two-game spell after the international break, with a trip to Crystal Palace followed by a home game against Sunderland, and they must be looking to take a minimum on four points from those games.
The Croatian also discussed how a number of different aspects have had direct influence on his side’s form this season, and how he is hoping it will just be a matter of time before they turn things around:

“It’s more or less the same squad, but we have lost some of the players from last year and we have replaced them, and some of them need time to click with the team and to adjust to a new country and new stadium and everything, so it’s not just one thing. If it was just one thing, we would have fixed it.”
One thing is for sure, something has got to change at West Ham, and Bilic will be hoping that said change is not in the managerial department.
