Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after Dane Scarlett netted a brace for England U19s on Wednesday evening.
The young striker scored twice against Andorra’s U19s, and as you can imagine, his goalscoring exploits caught the eyes of some Tottenham supporters.
Inevitably, some Spurs fans got carried away by Scarlett’s showing. Yes, he scored twice, but let’s be honest, Andorra aren’t exactly Brazil or Germany.
However, we don’t want to play down his achievements either, he did find the net twice and he did exactly what was asked of him.
Tottenham fans were quick to laud the teenager after his brace, many labelled him a generational talent, while one Spurs supporter took aim at a Chelsea fan, claiming that Scarlett is a bigger talent than Kai Havertz.
The 17-year-old does look like an exciting talent and it’s fair to say there are high hopes for the Englishman.
