Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are raving about Harvey Elliott.
Elliott, who joined the Reds as a 16-year-old during the summer of 2019, has been tearing up the Championship with loan side Blackburn Rovers this season.
So far, the Liverpool attacker, who doesn’t turn 18 until April, has four goals and six assists across 17 games in all competitions for Rovers.
The teenage starlet set up another goal on Saturday as Tony Mowbray’s side drew 1-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Elliott was deployed in a false nine role against the Owls and here’s how Liverpool supporters reacted on Twitter to news of another assist:
It’ll be so interesting to see if Michael Edwards and Jurgen Klopp keep him at Anfield for next season or loan him out again.
Logically you would think the odds are stacked against an 18-year-old being good enough for the Premier League – not least a Premier League team like Liverpool – but this is a player who’s clearly developing and learning the game at a rapid rate, so it’s difficult to rule out.
