Jamie O’Hara told talkSPORT that Tottenham are a ‘bigger club’ than Leeds.
The former Spurs midfielder also suggested that the ‘world-class’ Marcelo Bielsa moving to North London would be a ’step-up’.
Bielsa is highly-regarded in the footballing world and a popular figure with many coaches across the land, from Mauricio Pochettino to Pep Guardiola.
But O’Hara delivered this controversial take on Leeds and Spurs when talking about Bielsa’s qualities.
“He needs to be at a big club Bielsa, doesn’t he?” said O’Hara. “He needs to be at a club like Barcelona let’s be honest.
“Spurs are a bigger club than Leeds… it would be a step up. Jose Mourinho’s not going to go and be Leeds manager, is he?
“I’m not saying Leeds aren’t a big club and I’m not saying Bielsa needs to leave, I’m saying he should be at a club like Barcelona. He’s a great manager and Leeds are very lucky to have him.
“I’d love him at Spurs but he’s never going to leave Leeds to go to Spurs. Not enough ambition at Spurs.”

Leeds may have been out of the wilderness for many years, but now they are back and ready to roar again.
Spurs may have overtaken Leeds during the Yorkshire side’s continued struggles outside of the Premier League, but they are charging ahead once more.
Both clubs will be pushing for Europe next season and it’s going to be interesting to see how they fare during these coming years.
The Whites haven’t made a return to the big time to sit in mid-table, but instead, stick their chest out and fight at the top of the league once again.
Tottenham were riding that wave a couple of years ago, but Daniel Levy didn’t provide enough surfboards for the club to maintain their previously high status.
