After joining the club earlier in the year, Kayky has finally made his debut for Manchester City’s U-21 side. And fans on social media were stunned.
The Brazilian youngster was a second-half substitute in the young Cityzen’s EFL Trophy clash against Rotherham. Whilst it was a momentous night for Kayky, City lost the fixture 5-0.
City signed Kayky earlier in the year for a reported fee of £9m from Brazilian giants Fluminense. And the youngster is regarded as one of the top prospects coming from the South American country.
Kayky made over 30 appearances for the Brazilian side before making the switch to England. Though Pep Guardiola is taking his time and being patient with the young attacker.
With the youngster moving to a new continent with a different culture and language, it makes sense why City are taking their time with Kayky. With a loan move not being discussed either, it appears that the teenager could be part of the first team for the second half of the season.
Whilst Kayky was unable to impact the U-21 clash against Rotherham, fans on social media were still surprised the Brazilian finally made his debut for City.
