The Villans got the better of Ipswich 2-0 at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Albert Adomah scored both the goals for the Villans, finding the net first in the 36th minute and then midway through the second half.
Villa legend Taylor has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for Steve Bruce’s side.
The former midfielder has also looked ahead to next week’s game against Leeds United, stating that it will be a big test.
Leeds returned to winning ways on Saturday afternoon, getting the better of Barnsley 2-0 away from home at Oakwell in the Championship.
The West Yorkshire outfit will face Villa at Elland Road in the league next Friday evening.
Villa are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 35 points from 19 matches, two points behind second-placed Cardiff City, who have a game in hand.
