Moussa Sissoko has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur selling Steven Bergwijn to Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have announced on their official website this morning that Netherlands international winger Bergwijn has moved to Dutch giants Ajax on a permanent contract.

The winger made 81 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham in his career.

Bergwijn scored eight goals in those games.

The winger has posted a heartwarming message to the Tottenham fans on Instagram – which you can read below – while attaching a video of his highlights at the North London club, which you can watch by clicking here.

Sissoko played with Bergwijn at Tottenham before he moved to Watford in 2021.

The 32-year-old France international midfielder, now at Nantes, has sent the following message to Bergwijn on Instagram.

When translated, the message reads: “big player @stevenbergwijn all the best 💪🏿🤝”

Moussa Sissoko’s message to Steven Bergwijn after Tottenham Hotspur exit

Steven Bergwijn is a very good player who can operate as a winger or down the middle as a striker.

The Dutchman is still only 24, and we think that he could flourish at Ajax, who are a massive club and regularly play in top European competitions.

Bergwijn needs to play regularly to fulfil his potential, and he could do that at Ajax.
