In the coming weeks, Skipp could have a larger role to play.
The 18-year-old has featured twice for Spurs in the Premier League in 2019, most recently playing 71 minutes of the victory over Leicester City.
He has the trust of manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has selected him to play in 10 matches in total this season.
It might be too much of an ask for him to start away to Dortmund this week, but it is one of the options on the table.
Next weekend against Southampton could see him play a role.
If Skipp gets an opportunity in one of these matches, or both, he has to seize it, and show Mauricio Pochettino he can be relied on in the final few weeks of the season.
