Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi has been hailed by Josh Warrington.

Professional boxer Josh Warrington has taken to Twitter to post a photo alongside Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi – and hailed the full back too.
Berardi, 29, joined Leeds from Sampdoria back in the summer of 2014, and whilst a host of signings from Massimo Cellino’s first summer with the club proved to be failures, Berardi has continued to impress.
The Swiss defender has now racked up almost 100 appearances for Leeds during his three-and-a-half years at Elland Road, becoming a fan favourite.
Berardi has featured at both right back and left back, and has featured under a host of managers, including David Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler, Steve Evans, Garry Monk and now Thomas Christiansen.

Berardi’s consistency has been admirable, and he has now been hailed on Twitter by professional boxer and huge Leeds fan Josh Warrington.
Warrington posted a photo alongside Berardi on Tuesday, admitting it was great to catch up with the Leeds star whilst hailing his ‘big love’ for the club.
Warrington also responded to fans by hailing Berardi, calling him a hard working player who wears his heart on his sleeve, and noted that he does his talking on the pitch.
