Former Rangers manager Alex McLeish has told The Scottish Sun that Celtic forward Moussa Dembele has a bright future ahead of him.

McLeish made the comments following Celtic’s win against Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Former Rangers manager and Aberdeen defender McLeish has praised Celtic for signing the 20-year-old France Under-21 international forward in the summer transfer window.

Dembele joined the Glasgow giants in the summer after leaving English club Fulham at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

McLeish has also stated that the Celtic forward has a bright future ahead of him.

“Recruitment’s part of the job and Brendan’s done a great job with it,” McLeish told The Scottish Sun. “You have to get better players to win trophies, but part of the process is to pick the right ones.

“Dembele has been an absolute find for them. I saw a lot of him at Fulham and he is a kid with a big future.”
