World Cup winner Sami Khedira admits that it would be a ‘dream’ to play Premier League football while opening the door for a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur or Everton, when speaking to Sky.
With Juventus transitioning from one trophy-laden era to a whole new one under rookie coach Andrea Pirlo, many a battle-scarred veteran has been usurped by an exuberant young challenger in Turin.
The likes of Blaise Matuidi, Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa have gone, replaced by Weston McKennie, Alvaro Morata, Athur and Federico Chiesa.
Given that Khedira has not kicked a ball in anger since Pirlo replaced Maurizio Sarri over the summer, the former Real Madrid enforcer is almost certain to follow Higuain and co through the exit sooner rather than later.
And, at the age of 33, Khedira appears to have his heart set on sampling the delights of the Premier League before he winds down his trophy-laden career in a less competitive division.
“When I was a child it was always a big dream of mine to be a Premier League player,” the La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and 2014 World Cup champion explained.

“I am really happy and satisfied with my career but one thing is still missing because I always had this dream and it has never come true… to be a part of the Premier League.
“If it is possible it will for sure be a really big dream [come true] and honour to be a part of the Premier League.”
Khedira enjoyed some of the best years of his career under Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti at Madrid and a reunion at Spurs or Everton would be an offer the German would struggle to refuse.
“I really enjoyed working with Jose Mourinho but there are many coaches who I would like to work with,” he added. “I would never say no again to Jose Mourinho but it is not the only guy who I would say I would like to work with again.
“There are many coaches, even in the Premier League that I respect a lot. Ancelotti is doing a great job at the moment and is a great personality.”
Calciomercato report that Khedira, who has also been linked with Wolves and West Ham United, could have the final few months of his £100,000-a-week contract cancelled by Juventus.
