Matt Doherty has praised his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Joe Hart on his Instagram after he helped Celtic secure Scottish Premiership title glory and put them on course to win another historic treble.
Ange Postecoglou’s men secured a 2-0 win at Hearts to win back-to-back titles – if Celtic beat Inverness in the Scottish Cup final next month, then it would be another treble for the Glasgow giants.
Joe Hart was let go by Tottenham during the summer of 2021 when Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed as the club’s manager – the former England man made his thoughts pretty clear about the former Wolves boss.

The 36-year-old, who had warmed the benches at Spurs, West Ham and Burnley after Pep Guardiola booted him out of Manchester City in 2018, decided to head up north and join the might of Celtic.
Since moving to paradise, he has won two Scottish Premiership titles and two Scottish League Cups, but he is now 90 minutes away from winning the treble – something his former club Manchester City are trying to emulate in England.
Nonetheless, following Hart adding another trophy to his name, he was praised by a number of his former teammates in the comments section of his Instagram post.
“Well done, big dog,” wrote Doherty. Whilst Pablo Zabaleta added: “Congrats Joe.” and John Ruddy added: “Love it, big man.”

HART IS ENDING HIS CAREER ON A HIGH
It needs to be remembered that Hart has two Premier League titles and an FA Cup to his name, plus 75 caps for his country.
There were large periods of the shot-stopper’s career that were going ever so well.
Then Pep Guardiola arrived on the scene and decided he needed a keeper who could play out from the back, which resulted in Hart suffering many problems with his performances whilst out on loan, but he has picked himself up in the colours of Celtic and is ending his career on a high.
