Alan Shearer has said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:51pm, December 27, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has made a big difference to the game of Lucas Moura and Oliver Skipp.
The MOTD pundit made the comments following Tottenham’s 3-0 win against Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
Lucas Moura scored one of the goals and provided the assists for the other two.
English midfielder Skipp retained his place in the Tottenham starting lineup and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park once again.
Praise for Spurs duo Lucas Moura and Oliver Skipp
And Newcastle United legend Shearer believes that Conte has transformed Lucas Moura and Skipp.
Shearer said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:51pm, December 26, 2021): “He has made a big difference to Moura, Lucas Moura, and also Oliver Skipp, I though, who was excellent. They just couldn’t handle Lucas Moura today.”

The Antonio Conte effect
In our opinion, MOTD pundit Shearer is absolutely right about Lucas and Skipp and the impact that Conte is making on these two Tottenham players.
We also think that former Chelsea manager Conte has made a huge impact on Lucas and Skipp.
The Brazilian winger is starting to play consistently well, and Skipp is flourishing in midfield.
Tottenham are moving up the Premier League table now, and the fans should be optimistic about a top-four finish.
