Fabrizio Romano has updated Leeds United fans on their potential move for Rodrigo de Paul, after the Argentine midfielder publicly stated that he wanted the move last night.
De Paul indicated to a Leeds fan that he was hoping that he got a move to Elland Road, in a remarkable turn of events.
De Paul quickly deleted his tweet and then his Twitter account, but his actions have been enough to excite Leeds supporters.
And Romano says that the two clubs are continuing to negotiate a price for the energetic midfielder.
De Paul would certainly add a lot to Leeds team, as he would bring tenaciousness and skill to their midfield.
The 26-year-old was one of Serie A’s finest midfielders last year, and his arrival at Leeds would be a real signal of intent.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have already proven that they can cause problems at Premier League level, after scoring three times on opening day against Liverpool, and De Paul’s arrival would only help to make them more of a threat.
