Reported Arsenal target Emiliano Buendia has said that he is flattered to be linked with big clubs, as quoted in Pink Un.

Buendia is a player on Arsenal’s radar, with Eurosport reporting last month that the Gunners will make an offer for the Norwich City attacking midfielder in the summer of 2021.

Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the 24-year-old attacking midfielder, but it seems that the Norwich star is not looking beyond helping his side to promotion back to the Premier League.

Pink Un quotes Buendia as saying: “Every footballer is happy to see big clubs linked – it means you’re doing your job well – but I’m 100 percent focused on doing my job here so we achieve our goals at the club.”

Mature

Buendia is a very creative player who is leading Norwich’s charge towards automatic promotion to the Premier League.

According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old – described as an “incredible player” by former Norwich striker Dean Ashton on talkSPORT (4:42pm, February 25, 2021) – has scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists in the Championship for the Canaries so far this season, and scored one goal and gave seven assists in Premier League in 2019-20.

It is very mature of Buendia to think about leading Norwich to the Premier League instead of thinking about his future.

The Canaries are as many as eight points clear at the top of the Championship table at the moment.
