Aaron Ramsey is ‘enjoying’ his time on loan at Rangers according to his Wales teammate Gareth Bale, with the Real Madrid ace dubbing the Gers a ‘big club’, via The Scottish Sun.

Bale has spoken with Ramsey on his Glasgow adventure to date during the Dragons camp for their World Cup play-off with Austria. Robert Page’s side host Das Team at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday night in the Path A semi-final for a final against Scotland or Ukraine.

Both are likely to play with a spot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on the line, despite them holding infrequent roles at their respective clubs. Ramsey has only featured in six, starting three, of a possible 14 games in all since joining Rangers on loan from Juventus in January.

Bale, who is a free agent this summer, has only featured five times for Real Madrid all term so far. He has also only turned out for just 77 minutes across all competitions since August.

Gareth Bale says Wales ace Aaron Ramsey is ‘enjoying’ life at ‘big club’ Rangers

Ramsey marked his latest outing for Rangers by scoring as Giovani van Bronckhorst’s side beat Dundee 2-1 on Sunday. The £400k-a-week maestro, who The Scottish Sun note the Gers are only paying £25k-a/w, had not scored and provided one assist in his prior games.

Yet his 257 minutes in total is still more than the 112 over five games the 71-cap star made with Juventus earlier this term. Now, Real Madrid winger Bale hopes Ramsey’s joy with life at Rangers will help Wales when they host Austria in their World Cup qualifying play-off.

“Aaron always keeps himself in good shape regardless,” he said. “But he’s obviously happy he’s playing some more minutes than he was at Juventus, which is great news for us.

“He’s said he’s enjoying it at Rangers and it’s a big club. Enjoying your football is the most important thing because if you’re happy in what you’re doing, you’re going to play better. Hopefully, he can put in a good performance in this game.”
