Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has told The Telegraph that he did speak to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, adding that his mother loves the Anfield club.
Mbappe has said that it was not just Real Madrid who wanted to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool were interested in him too as a free agent.
However, the 23-year-old France international striker has decided to stay at PSG and sign a new contract.
Mbappe has added that Liverpool were also interested in him when he left Monaco for PSG, saying that his mother, Fayza Lamari, loves the Reds.

The striker told The Telegraph: “We talked a little bit, but not too much. We talked a little bit.”
Mbappe added: “I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why, you will have to ask her!
“It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.”
Future Anfield move?
In our opinion, Kylian Mbappe could move to Liverpool in the future.
After all, the striker is only 23 now, and it is very unlikely that he is going to stay at PSG for the rest of his career.
That Mbappe spoke to Liverpool suggests that there is at least some interest from him in the Merseyside club.
Liverpool are a massive club and a global brand, and they are achieving huge success under manager Jurgen Klopp at the moment.
In our view, Mbappe could play for Liverpool one day in the future.
