What a weekend of football for everyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur.

Whilst VAR and the refereeing decisions continue to take the headlines, it shouldn’t be forgotten that Ange Postecoglou’s side are sitting second in the Premier League table.

On Monday, Dejan Kulusevski, who started the game against Liverpool, posted a simple one-word message on Instagram to Spurs fans which read ‘Coys’.

In the comments section, former Tottenham defender Matt Doherty bigged up the Sweden international by writing: ‘big baller’.

The now-Wolves defender would have played on that right-hand side for a brief period when Dejan Kulusevski first joined the club.

And now he is getting to watch his magic unfold from afar, including helping Spurs to an unbeaten start for the new season.

Kulusevski starting to get back to his best

The previous campaign was a bit up and down for the 23-year-old, who only managed two Premier League goals from his 30 games.

But after seven Premier League games under Ange Postecoglou, he already has matched last season’s tally.

And you will imagine that those numbers are only going to increase in this new-look and attack-minded Spurs side.

As of this moment, Kulusevski is getting picked by Postecoglou.

But with the likes of Brennan Johnson arriving in the summer, then the depth in quality in the forward areas has now grown, so there isn’t any time for the front players to sleep, or else, they will be warming the bench.
