Jack Harrison has claimed that he would ‘love to see’ Marcelo Bielsa joining in his famous murderball during Leeds United training, as he told Sky Sports.

Soccer AM presenter Tubes joked ‘imagine Bielsa with a ‘two-footer’ if he did join in, whilst Harrison thinks it wouldn’t surprise him if he was ‘tackling the players a lot’.

Bielsa is famous for his teams playing with very high intensity, aggression and always out-working their opponents over the course of the 90 minutes.

One big reason behind his Leeds players being one of, if not, the fittest in the Premier League are the sessions he puts up at Thorp Arch.

Many Leeds players have spoken about Bielsa’s famous ‘murderball’, where there are no rules, no corners, fouls, throw-ins and the game just continues without any stoppages for a certain period of time.

Leeds winger Harrison has been used to that over the years and he was asked what it would be like if Bielsa joined in himself.

“It would be a sight to see,” said Harrison. “I would love to see that. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he was tackling the players a lot as well.”

Tubes then told Harrison, “Imagine Bielsa with a two-footer?” and the Leeds player laughed and responded: “I can imagine that.”

Whilst some may feel that Bielsa’s team need to tone it down a little when out on the pitch, it’s that high intensity that has played a huge part in the club returning to the Premier League.

Leeds’ recent results and performance, especially shipping seven at Manchester City, was morale-sapping to those in Yorkshire.

But it needs to be remembered that Bielsa has also had to deal with a number of injuries to senior stars and has been close to playing the year 11’s.

All of that needs to be taken into account before slating this Leeds side that has done remarkably well, and even during such difficult times, it still looks like they will keep their status in England’s top-flight.
