You could very easily make an argument that Stuart Dallas has been Leeds United’s Player of the Year this season.

That’s because not only has the former Brentford winger started all 35 of Leeds’ Premier League games, underlining his reliability, but he has also added goalscoring to his arsenal.

Dallas scored a brace away to Manchester City in April – including a last-minute winner – and opened the scoring again on Saturday as Marcelo Bielsa’s side beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at Elland Road.

He is very much a James Milner-type character in this United side.

If fans were permitted to attend Elland Road, they’d have been singing Dallas’s name all season long and so much of that adoration stems from his work ethic.

And Bielsa has intimated that even in training, Dallas does not let up.

He told Leeds Live: “Due to the experience I have working with him, I consider him a player with a lot of reserves. What he attempts is simple, but he has a lot of possibilities to impose. Apart from that, he’s a tireless worker – throughout the week and during the games. An example for all of us.”

When talking about Leeds’ best players this season, nobody can ignore Patrick Bamford, who scored again on Saturday to make it 15 Premier League goals this season.

That’s a quite stunning return, but it was his first strike in close to two months.

In terms of consistency, nobody can deny that Dallas is the Whites’ best player in that regard.
