Yesterday, Pascal Struijk organised a Q&A session on Twitter, where he answered a number of questions from Leeds fans.
Interestingly, one question led to the Leeds defender mentioning a Liverpool player.
What’s the story?
Well, one supporter asked Struijk who his ideal centre-back partner would be.
Ignoring the likes of Liam Cooper, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente, the 22-year-old opted for Liverpool colossus Virgil van Dijk.
You can see Struijk’s tweet in full below.
In truth, we don’t blame him.
The £75m man is arguably the best centre-back on the planet, and he would be a joy to play alongside.

In all honesty, Struijk probably wouldn’t have to do much work if he partnered Van Dijk, as the 30-year-old is a terrific organiser of his backline.
The 22-year-old was also asked what it’s like to play in front of the Elland Road faithful, with Struijk revealing that it feels “amazing”.
There are few stadiums as raucously loud as Elland Road, so it must be a treat for the Leeds players to walk out in front of such strong support.
Leeds star could soon partner Liverpool colossus
Struijk doesn’t have to leave Leeds to achieve his dream of partnering Van Dijk – we feel he could soon do so on the international stage instead.

The youngster is having a fine campaign, but is yet to represent the Netherlands at senior level, only doing so for the Under-17 side.
However, if he keeps performing the way he is, we see no reason why Struijk can’t partner Van Dijk for the Netherlands in the near future.
